Charleston Photo Art website redesign

Charleston Photo Art

About the project

I worked on the redesign of the Charleston Photo Art website – a wedding photography and videography studio based in Charleston, USA.

The main goal of the project was not simply to update the visual design, but to create a fast, scalable and SEO-friendly WordPress website without relying on heavy page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.

The project was built with WordPress, Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks Pro, with a strong focus on a mobile-first approach, clean page structure, reusable blocks and maximum loading performance.

The project included:

  • A complete multi-page website structure
  • Dedicated service pages for different photography and videography services
  • Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
  • Reusable Hero, Gallery, Testimonials, CTA, FAQ and Pricing blocks
  • Portfolio and gallery sections for presenting studio work
  • A structured Journal and blog system with categories
  • AJAX filtering of posts by categories and tags
  • SEO-friendly pagination for the Journal
  • A popup enquiry form
  • Mobile-first UX and clear navigation
  • Structural optimisation without unnecessary JavaScript libraries
  • Image lazy loading and loading performance optimisation
  • Custom WordPress and Kadence technical improvements

Special attention was given to the Journal section. It was designed not simply as a standard blog, but as a complete content system for real wedding stories, wedding guides, venue guides and long-term SEO content.

The result – an elegant, lightweight and scalable website combining premium visual presentation, strong performance, intuitive navigation, responsive layouts and a clear user journey towards submitting an enquiry.
